1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
Early Saturday morning, around 4:30 a.m. the Spirit of the Lord awakened me and I heard the 1st verse of this chapter speaking in my spirit. It was on the 20th of June, just a few days ago that the Lord had dealt very extensively with me about the scripture in, 1 Tim 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils Since the Lord has dealt with me so strongly over the last several days about this particular topic, it lets me know that it’s more than just an understanding that he’s giving me, it’s a warning of the powers that have been and are being let loose in the earth. I just don’t know how many people are going to hear what the Spirit is speaking and even those that hear, are they going to understand that this a clear and present danger and it’s not to be treated lightly.
The revealing of the Kingdom of Heaven is now upon us, and once the knowledge of it is opened to our understanding, then we must press our way in to possess it. Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. Once people get traditions or doctrines in their spirit, it’s almost impossible to get it out and take them beyond what they have been taught. There is so much wrong teaching on the ministry and how it should function and what needs to be happening in the church at this time, until it’s almost impossible to get people to fight for the true doctrine of Christ and to purge out all of the junk that men’s doctrines have brought into the church and into our lives. We need to be fighting for, Eph 4:5-6 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
There aren’t many different faiths and many different doctrines and many different ways to serve God. There is only one true faith, all of these different teachings and variations of the gospel are governed by religious and seducing spirits to keep the Body of Christ divided. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
It’s not Satan’s goal to get people to go out and become adulterers and fornicators, or drunkards, it’s his goal for people to become divided in the faith and believing different teaching of men that will cause divisions and confusion. It’s his goal to get you so pressured and busy in life that your relationship with God becomes your last priority and not your first. All the while the enemy is telling you that you are okay and that God understands your struggles and hardships. That he’s okay with the fact that you’ve slacked up in your prayer and study because he knows you’re so pressured and busy right now that it’s just too hard to find time to attend the worship services and be with the Body of Christ. It’s not that you don’t believe in honoring him in your giving, because you do, but because of the financial pressures that you are facing, along with other things, it just doesn’t come to your mind. All these things bring a darkness and warfare to your mind and you feel fatigued and tired inside and this masks your mind from understanding of the Word of God, which will eventually bring infightings in yourself and then in the church over doctrines. This is where the enemy is most effective. There aren’t many different versions of the doctrine of Christ, there is only one truth and only one Spirit of Truth.
2 John 9-11 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. When a house is divided Jesus said it can’t stand, Luke 11:17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth. The division in the church isn’t from what Jesus taught; it’s from what men have taught about what Jesus said. The teachings of man, no matter how well intentioned, if they are not from the unction and leadership of the Spirit of God, they will sow discord and confusion and somewhere they will bring strife and contention to the Body of Christ. James 3:16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. The enemy doesn’t just work through people’s minds, he has been operating through a spirit of deceit and lies since the beginning of time and it won’t be any different in these last days. Remember, Satan himself was the first liar and deceiver to pervert God’s commandments
John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. When he lied to Eve he become the father of the lie, and he’s been lying to people ever since, and he will work through people preaching a perverted gospel in our day. Matt 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Please understand that we are in a great warfare in the spirit realm. Many people don’t understand that we live in a natural realm, but all around us is the spirit world. Unless the Lord opens your spiritual eyes you can’t see this spiritual world. 2 Kings 6:15-17 And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?
16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. When the scripture speaks of Rev 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, it’s pertaining to war in the spiritual realm, not war in the natural heavens. This is spiritual warfare and we must learn to recognize what we are fighting and how we must fight; and if we are going to fight, then we need to fight to win.
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; The very reason so many people are vulnerable to deceiving spirits is because they think they are on the same thought wave as God himself and that he thinks what they think and the way they think. Isa 55:6
Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
The God of all creation does not think, act, or work in a carnal realm. The biggest mistake a man can make is to try and bring God down to a carnal realm and think that when he is reasoning with God from a carnal viewpoint that God thinks and feels the way that man does. 2 Cor 10:1 Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you: 2 But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh. 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
There has got to be a people come together and seek God for the unity of the Spirit. The only way for God to reveal the unity of the faith is for us to strive to walk together and press in prayer for unity. Eph 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, 2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; 3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. We have to have the Spirit of Truth standing up in us and a boldness to declare God’s Word coming out of us. We are in a warfare of the Kingdom of Heaven against the Kingdom of Satan, and his kingdom must not prevail. Only by God’s people fighting for the unity of the Spirit, and by that Spirit standing up in the earth can we aspire to the unity of the faith. Eph 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: IT’S TIME TO FIGHT.
