World Revivals, Inc., Gideon's 300
Many of you have heard me speak about the “Gideon’s 300”. I’m going to share with you how this vision came into being.
It was in the fall of 1996 and I was in prayer about direction for the ministry. We had visited India several times recently and we had also ministered in the Philippines. The evangelistic ministry seemed to be going well. We had placed a tent and equipment for revivals in western Canada. I now had two tents for ministry available in the USA and we were preparing to launch crusades in the South and Midwest when spring came. We were busy with all of that along with our other endeavors in overseas crusades, radio, cassette tape mailings and publishing a newsletter. While I was in prayer, I was expressing concerns about the financial needs regarding all these things and I heard the Voice of the Lord speak to me,
“There is coming a day that I will give you three hundred people that will support you with one hundred dollars a month every month, and you will refer to these as GIDEON’S THREE HUNDRED. These will be the ones that I have chosen to stand with you prayerfully and financially, and through these people there will be great victories won and great blessings will come through their obedience and sacrifice.”
As we traveled and ministered, I began to mention this to a few people, but it didn’t seem to take hold. Then the Lord told me,
“I didn’t say it was for now, I told you there would come a day that I would do this, but that it was for a day to come.”
A few months ago the Lord impressed in my Spirit that it’s NOW time for the GIDEON’S THREE HUNDRED to be put in place because the ministry is getting ready to explode! Because of this, I am now bringing this before God’s people. This was spoken to me 23 years ago. I know the ministry has gone through great changes in many different areas over the years. The greatest transformation is what God is working in the Spirit and the greatest days are just ahead of us.
I want to personally thank you for your prayerful consideration of this financial and spiritual commitment to the vision God has given me for this ministry. For those of you who feel this call, I look forward to laboring together in God’s harvest.
